Victorian Salver
2011 Results
Day 2
Hilary Kahn's must have gone home with a huge smile on her face after playing so well for the last 2 days at Cranbourne Golf Club to win the Victorian Salver. As an ex-member of this club she have had some "local” knowledge advantage – however, to back up her first round of 85 with an 88 in stroke is not easy! Hilary finished with a total of 173 gross – 135 nett claiming not only the Salver, but the best 36 Hole nett, best 18 hole nett for both rounds and more importantly the NEWTON LEES TROPHY which is awarded to the best overall nett amongst all Victorian Amateur and Victorian Salver players. Well done to Hilary! Lauren Higgings (Warrnambool GC) was her closest competitor with a total of 180 gross.
Thank you to all the players who supported this event, to Cranbourne Golf Club for its hospitality and to all the golf club and Golf Victoria volunteers who not only make these events run in a very professional manner but also so enjoyable for everyone!
