About
The Mona MacLeod Brooch is played for by amateur players at fully affililated WGV clubs. A player is eligible to compete for the Brooch in all the clubs of which she is a member.
Two Brooches are awarded in the Metropolitan area and two in the Country area each year. One is for Best Nett Score over 36 holes (Silver Division) and the other for Best Nett Score over 36 holes (Bronze Division).
Clubs are requested to send the results of winners in the Silver and Bronze Divisions to WGV, who will then collate all results from across the State to determine the winners of the Mona MacLeod Brooch.
Format
The Mona MacLeod Brooch is run over two (2) 18 hole stroke rounds as stipulated by each golf club's committee. A club may make arrangements to conduct a Mona MacLeod round over the weekend for women who are not able to partake in that golf club's midweek competition.
Round 1 - Is played concurrently with either a round of the Silver Spoon or International Bowl competition, for which players must have entered.
Round 2 - Can be played on a stipulated stroke round
