Day 2

We have to start by saying that the tournament dinner was the perfect end to the first day of the event and it exceeded everyone’s expectations! The function took place at the Flour Mill, a beautiful restaurant in Euroa. The meal was delicious and was accompanied by a musician who didn’t have much trouble getting the ladies onto the dance floor. Many ladies volunteered for the fashion parade organised by the tournament’s main sponsor - Beatons Stores. The range of good quality clothing displayed was not only comfortable but fashionable and, more importantly, affordable. Many thanks to Stuart and Mary Trott –owners of Beatons Stores for supporting golf in Victoria.

The second day started with a sunny but chilly morning, once again perfect for golf. The course was in superb condition and the players made the most of it! It was exciting to see most players staying for presentation to congratulate the tournament winners in the different divisions and Nearest the pins prizes (donated by High Tee Ladies, a shop that specialised in women’s golf accessories). See all results below.

Euroa Golf Club and its many volunteers (spotters, starters, caterers, score card checkers, etc) couldn’t do enough to help Golf Victoria to run this tournament so successfully. Thank you so much to such a lovely group of people; it was a pleasure working with them. Special thank you to Mandy Edwards (Lady President), Kae Lummas (Lady Captain ) and the Ladies Committee for their organisation and coordination of this event.

Thanks also to Golf Victoria volunteers Ellie Stawell and Sue Rea whose commitment and golf knowledge is invaluable. Leongatha GC will be hosting the 2012 Autum Country Tournament…players were so excited that some accommodation bookings were made before leaving Euroa!!! Let's hope to see many of you there!

Day 1

The buzz was in the air from early on! The tournament's main sponsor Beatons Stores set up their tent while enthusiastic players registered and signed up for the popular "Teams Event".  Players are competing in 3 different divisions for gross and nett prizes each day. Some scores were terrific like Elizabeth Miller's (HillTop GC - Hcp 36) amazing 66 Nett ! It was, however, very nice to see Sienna Lambert (Cohuna GC - Hcp 2) returning  to defend her title in top form by shooting 74. She leads the tournament gross scores after 18 holes.

A fabulous dinner in one of Euroa's best restaurants awaits the ladies tonite. Surely everyone will have the best time with the fasion parade and all! Let'sjust hope everyone still makes their tee time tomorrow!!!
