Elliott turns the tables on Poulsen
In an instant replay of this month's Victorian Junior Championship final, Yarrawonga's Breanna Elliott turned the tables on Mornington's Tilly Poulsen in the Victorian Champions of Champions Tournament.
Teenagers go head to head in Vic Junior Final replay
Outstanding teenagers Breanna Elliott (Yarrawonga) and Tilly Poulsen (Mornington) will go head to head in the Final of a State Championship for the second time this month.
Elliott will be out to seek revenge for her loss in the final of the Victorian Junior Championship earlier this month, while Poulsen will be out to make it two in a row.
Elliott, 17, again qualified No.1 in the Victorian Champion of Champions Tournament at Royal Melbourne, as she did in the Vic Junior and stormed into the 36 Hole Final with a resounding 8/6 semi final victory over 2009 State Team player Sue Wooster (Victoria).
While Poulsen, 16, another 2009 State Team player is proving to be a formidable matchplay opponent - ousting home club champion Heather Brodie 5/4 in the second semi-final.
The 36 Hole Final will between Elliott and Poulsen will start at 8.00am.

Bre Elliott continues her outstanding form
Yarrawonga teenager Breanna Elliott has come from two shots down overnight to qualify in the top spot by 5 shots for the Victorian Champion of Champions Tournament being played at Royal Melbourne GC.
Breanna carded rounds of 79-76 for a two round total of 155, with host club champion Heather Brodie right among the mix with a second round 77 to give her a total of 160 and second place seeding on a countback from Mornington's Tilly Poulsen.
Victoria's Sue Wooster qualified fourth on 163, with Cathie Maggio (Rossdale) fifth on 169.
In sixth place was Adele Huggard (Portarlington) 169 on a countback from Samantha Fleming (Melton Valley) with Spring Valley's Sue Semmens taking up the last place in the matchplay draw with a score of 172.

Breanna Elliott won the Joan Fisher Trophy (Leading Qualifier) with a total of 155.
Heather Brodie won the Gwenda Anderson Rose Bowl (Best 36 Hole Nett) with a total of 150.
Fleming and Poulsen lead opening round of Champion of Champs
Melton Valley's Samantha Fleming and Mornington's Tilly Poulsen both shot opening rounds of 77 to lead qualifiers in the first round of the Champion of Champions event at Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
Yarrawonga's Breanna Elliott was the next best with 79, followed by Portarlington's Adele Huggard on 80.
Royal Melbourne club champion Heather Brodie shot 83, as did Sue Semmens from Spring Valley, with Sue Wooster (Victoria) and Rebecca Thomas (Leongatha) both shooting 85 to round out the top 8 with one qualifying round to play.

Champion of Champions is open to current Champions of WGV Affiliated Clubs, Country District Champions, Victorian 72 hole Champion (Nell Smithett), Veteran's Championship of Victoria, Business Women's Championship of Victoria, Victorian Amateur Champion, Victorian Junior Champion, Victorian Country Champion, Victorian Sand Green Champion, Victorian Women's Golf Network and Victorian Women's Golf League Champion. Two 18 hole qualifying rounds of Strokeplay, the top eight players qualify for matchplay.
The perpetual trophy was donated by Mrs Austin Gatehouse in 1929.

For the best nett 36 hole score in the Champion of Champions, the winner will hold the Gwenda Anderson Trophy. Gwenda Anderson is a past Victorian Ladies Golf Union and Australian Ladies Golf Union President. The trophy was first played for in 1976.

The Best 36 hole gross score in the Champion of Champions qualifying rounds was first played in 1979. The trophy is the Joan Fisher Plate, named after Mrs. J.D. Fisher in recognition for her contribution as a player and a member of the Victorian Ladies Golf Union Council.
