Playing the Game

WGV offers a range of programs suitable for females of all ages who wish to play our game.

Our Girls' and Women's Golf Networks offer social, fun and easily accessible participation opportunities from clinics to social to competition golf, and our High Performance program is specifically designed to offer a pathway to international competition.

Junior Golf

Women's Golf Victoria aims to increase the number of junior girls playing golf across Victoria.

Our Girls' Golf Network (GGN) provides opportunities for girls aged under 18 years to learn and play our game. WGV provides GGN members with a number of participation programs, which you can view by  clicking here.

WGV's Anglesea Junior Girls Golf Camp is the main event on WGV's junior golf calendar. Over 100 girls participate in the camp, held annually at Anglesea Golf Club and Camp Wilkin.

Give Golf a Go

WGV offers introductory golf programs across regional Victoria, in partnership with VicHealth and regional golf clubs, that aim to provide women with the opportunity to 'give golf a go'.

Our Give Golf a Go programs typically run for 4 to 6 weeks and instruction is provided by a fully accredited PGA member.

Give Golf a Go, an initiative funded by VicHealth aims to increase participation in community sport and active recreation. Some examples of what other State Sporting Associations have conducted as a part of their funding can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/vichealthmedia

WGV also promotes independent introductory golf programs run by our affiliated golf clubs. You can view what is available by clicking here.

Women's Golf Network

The Women's Golf Network (WGN) was created in 2001 by Women's Golf Victoria to provide all women with the opportunity of playing or learning to play the game of golf. WGN operates like a virtual Golf Club providing an annual calendar of 9 and 18 hole events, clinics, rules and etiquette guidance, and a GolfLink card with access to online handicapping information.

WGN offers a pathway to golf club membership by assisting members to meet other women interested in golf, providing access to public and private golf course and developing the skills and knowledge of our members to assist with the transition to club membership.

High Performance Golf

The High Performance Golf program is aimed at increasing the depth and competitiveness of female golfers representing Victoria.

The program offers a sound high performance pathway to allow athletes to monitor progress and aim for selection into the Victorian Institute of Sport, Golf Australia National Squad and Australian Institute of Sport.
